The Last of Us Video Game Vinyl OSTs

With the release of HBO’s hit adaptation of The Last of Us has come renewed interest in the original source material as well as their soundtracks. Although we are still waiting on news for a pressing for the TV series, there are already a few releases out there for the game soundtracks. Music for all the games as well as the TV show were done by composer Gustavo Santaolalla.

The Last of US premiered on HBO on January 15, 2023 and airs weekly every Sunday night at 9:00pm EST.

There have been quite a few limited edition releases of the game soundtracks over the years. One of our favorites is this Mondo 4LP Set that includes the complete soundtrack from the 2013 game as well as audio from the 2014 “Left Behind” DLC. The four disc set is housed in a heavy duty slip case and features artwork from Olly Moss & Jay Shaw. Sadly, this set is long out of print and can only be found on the secondhand market at the moment.

Hopefully the popularity of the show will bring us more variations of the video game soundtracks as well for fans who enjoy collecting variants and limited pressing records.
