Mondo has released an exclusive vinyl of the Poupelle of Chimney Town Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Poupelle of Chimney Town was released in December 2020 and is based on the 2016 children’s picture book by Akihiro Nishino.
In a town shrouded in perpetual smoke, where the sun and stars are nothing more than legends, a young boy named Lubicchi dreams of seeing the world beyond the chimneys. One fateful Halloween night, he meets Poupelle, a man made of trash. Despite their differences, Lubicchi and Poupelle quickly become friends, and together they set out on an adventure to discover the truth about the stars.
Their journey takes them to the heart of the town, where they encounter a world full of wonder and danger. They must face the Inquisitors, a mysterious group of enforcers who seek to maintain the status quo, as well as the Garbage King, a powerful creature who rules over the town’s waste.
But Lubicchi and Poupelle are determined to reach the stars, no matter what obstacles stand in their way. Along the way, they learn the true meaning of friendship, courage, and the power of dreams.
