Since its the release of Pokémon Red and Blue in 1998, Pokémon has gone on to become the highest grossing video game franchise of all time. In that timespan official Pokémon vinyl releases have been extremely difficult to come by, but we finally have news of a new 7″ containing the Japanese theme songs to the original anime series. Given how conservative Nintendo has been in the past with vinyl releases of their original IP, it’s a given that this will be a very popular release.
This “Mezase Pokemon Master” / “One Hundred Fifty-One” 7″ vinyl features Satoshi (the Japanese name of the protagonist known as ‘Ash’ in the West) and Pikachu with an inner jacket featuring the original 151 Pokémon from the Kanto region.
Bonuses include a Satoshi & Pikachu transparent sticker as well as a bi-fold card modeled after the Pokédex.
This highly coveted vinyl will be released December 27, 2023 and is available for pre-order at the following shops:
