Popular boxing anime is coming to the vinyl world in the form of the Hajime no Ippo Best Collection LP. Based on the manga of the same name by George Morikawa, the story follows the journey of Ippo Makunouchi, a shy and timid high school student who discovers a passion for boxing after being saved from bullies by a professional boxer. With his newfound love for the sport, Ippo begins training under his mentor and sets his sights on becoming a boxing champion. The soundtrack of Hajime no Ippo is composed by Tsuneo Imahori and features a mix of rock and pop music. The opening theme “Under Star” by Shocking Lemon is a catchy and energetic song that pumps up the audience for the intense boxing matches that follow. The ending theme “Yuuzora no Kamihikouki” by Naoya Mori is a more mellow and reflective piece that captures the series’ emotional and introspective moments.
The theme songs and various BGM piece will all be featured on the Hajime no Ippo Best Collection vinyl album that will span two discs and contain over 80 minutes of music selections from the anime series.
