Video Game label iam8bit is bringing popular horror game adaptation Five Nights at Freddy’s the movie to the vinyl world. The 2014 survival horror game developed and published by Scott Cawthorn has become a cult classic and spawned numerous sequels and spin-offs. The original game’s premise is centered around the animatronic creatures at a family amusement center that share a striking similarity to certain childhood memories that many off us share. We were always aware that something about the animatronics were ominously disturbing, and both the game and movie harken back to those fears embedded in our consciousness since early childhood.
This vinyl pressing of the movie’s score will feature music by The Newton Brothers on red colored vinyl. There will be four different collectible character covers featuring glow-in-the-dark “Animatronic” eyes, and each album will also include a removable Obi strip.
Pre-orders are going live February 1, 2024 at 9am PT over at the iam8bit online store. The movie soundtrack will also be available to purchase on CD and cassette formats. Orders are expected to ship Q3 2024.
