Square-Enix has released the Pixel Remaster series of its back catalog of classic Final Fantasy games. To further celebrate the 35th anniversary of the release of the original Final Fantasy back in 1987, they have announced a physical release of the Pixel Remasters of Final Fantasy I-VI for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
The physical edition comes in Standard Edition or a deluxe Anniversary Edition that contains a 2LP vinyl set with a collection of sample tracks from the Pixel Remaster Final Fantasy games as well as a pixel artbook, pixel figurines, and a lenticular sleeve to house your game case.
The Anniversary Edition is a Square-Enix store exclusive, but remains sold out at the time of writing. Unfortunately, fans who are seeking the vinyl set and other goods included with the Anniversary Edition will have to turn to the second hand market or wait for a possible repress, which may never happen.
