Square-Enix has just announced a brand new Final Fantasy IX vinyl as part of the original game’s 25th anniversary celebration. The Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary -Timeless Tale- LP will contain original songs from the classic PlayStation 1 game as well as a brand new recording of the theme song “Melodies of Life.” The album jacket features a new illustration by Toshiyuki Itahana along with liner notes by legendary composer Nobuo Uematsu. A download code will also be included so you can listen to the songs in digital formats without wearing out your vinyl.
The Final Fantasy IX 25th Anniversary vinyl is scheduled to be released on July 7th in Japan with news on international availability still to be determined. We will update this post with pre-order links and further details as they become available.
