There is a new listing for a Super Mario RPG Original Soundtrack vinyl release. Details are sparse at the moment, but it appears this release is being published by Square-Enix, who developed the original game on Super Nintendo. The title appears to have quite a high price tag, so we’ll have to wait and see what this release includes in the package. We will update this post as more details come out. Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars was released in 1996 and was the last Mario title for the SNES and the first in the Mario RPG franchise. A remake of the original game was released for the Nintendo Switch in November 2023, featuring full 3D graphics and updated battle mechanics.
Update: It seems Play-Asia has taken down the listing for now, so we’ll have to wait and see if this release ever sees the light of day. We’ll update this post with any future information.
