Ship to Shore PhonoCo. just announced their latest vinyl release, the Mega Man Battle Network 2 OST. Released in 2001 for the Game Boy Advance, the game is a sequel to the popular Mega Man Battle Network and features unique gameplay elements that set it apart from other games in the franchise.
The game itself takes place in a futuristic world where the internet has become an integral part of daily life. Players take on the role of a young boy named Lan Hikari, who is also the operator of Mega Man.EXE, a NetNavi or virtual assistant program designed to combat the various viruses and cyber criminals that threaten the network. The game features a unique blend of role-playing game (RPG) and real-time action elements, as players navigate through the game’s various levels, collecting chips and upgrading Mega Man.EXE’s abilities.
Mega Man Battle Network 2 sold over one million copies worldwide and was praised for its engaging storyline, unique battle system, and memorable characters. The game’s soundtrack composed by Yoshino Aoki also received critical acclaim, with many fans citing it as one of the best GBA video game soundtracks of all time.
Now, with the Mega Man Battle Network 2 Original Video Game Soundtrack on vinyl, fans can relive the game’s iconic music in a whole new way. There is a limited edition “Bug Frag” green splatter vinyl that will be available at the Ship to Shore PhonoCo. store. Pre-orders open March 21 at 2PM Eastern.
