Wayo Records has just announced the latest addition to the Ys series of vinyl soundtracks, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana Limited Collector Edition. This 3LP set is pressed on blue marble vinyl and will be limited to only 500 copies. You can pre-order the Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana Collector Edition Vinyl at the Wayo Store.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana was initially released in 2016 in Japan and received an English-language international release a couple years later in 2018. Building upon its predecessors Ys Seven and Ys: Memories of Celceta, Ys VIII introduced some very welcome gameplay improvements to the franchise. The game has received positive reviews from users and various gaming publications.
Ys VIII was originally released for the PlayStation 4 but will be getting a PlayStation 5 soon. This is welcome news to Ys fans who may have initially missed out on Ys VIII as the original PS4 version of the game has become increasingly rare and quite expensive. The Ys VIII PS5 version is now available for pre-order and due to ship in November 2022.
